C. Gordon Wilson 

 

Gordon Wilson graduated from the University of Alberta School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. From there he started his business career in the real estate development industry and was responsible for development of fully integrated multi-use projects throughout western Canada and the United States. 

 

As President and CEO of several western Canadian companies, Gordon has had the opportunity to reposition and restructure these companies and his leadership has allowed the corporations and its’ individuals to achieve established business goals. In his role as President, CEO and Board member of various companies, he gained experience in reporting to a wide variety of ownership including single proprietors, joint venture partners, aboriginal band councils and blue chip national boards. In recent years, Gordon has worked, on a consultation basis, for a variety of individuals and companies. Through open dialog and effective communication, the special needs and requirements of each group have been achieved. 

 

Through his involvement as Volunteer, Director, President and Chairman of many volunteer boards, he has been able to give back to his community and enjoy an opportunity to participate in activities outside his core business. Gordon has committed 15 years to the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation as a Trustee and Chairman and has also volunteered with Northlands since 1974, including the position of director in 1986 and then Chairman in 2000. 

 

Thru his involvement in the Thoroughbred racing industry he is the immediate past President of the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society Nationally and for Alberta, he represented the Canadian Horsemen internationally as a member of the International Thoroughbred Breeders.
